Alright- so the New Zealand Breed is working on a broken variety. Some of these broken blacks have resulted from taking a broken black satin into White and Black New Zealand stock. Of course, there isn't much interest in the reds. I'm certainly not claiming to have great red OR white stock- especially lately... but we're working on it.

Here's my situation: I have a broken red, normal furred rabbit. The dame was a broken copper satin out of a copper and broken chin. The Broken chin was a doe who always seemed to have nice broken reds in her litters. The sire to my doe was a Satin/New Zealand Cross and solid red out of a solid red satin buck and a solid red new zealand doe.

My question is- what step should I take next? I've been looking for a nice broken red satin buck though finding one is really hard and I'm thinking that going back to satin is going to make more of an issue with fur type.

Right now this doe is bred to a red new zealand buck.
