Ok so I have two rabbits, both 9 week old females whom I have bonded together. When I got Alaska from the pet store she had an upper respritatory infection and was medicated along with Missy. Now, the meds are gone and her nose gets wet when shes in a car or is traveling and she starts breathing really hard. She is still eating and drinking and cleaning herself. So im wondering if it could be just from the stress of traveling that both of their noses get wet or if there is another reason and or god forbid sick again. HELP!!! Im new to the bunny owner community.:?

Medication doesn't always kill the upper respiratory virus, sometimes it just eliminates the symptoms. My rabbit has upper resp infection and her symptoms flare up whenever she is stressed. It sounds like that's what happening to your bunnies.

I would wait a few days and see if the symptoms disappear, as it might have just been the car ride that freaked them out.

Yes, I think I will wait and see because I brought them to a friends house one day and the same thing happened and then their noses dried once they were at home.

It's natural for a bunny to pant and get a slightly wet nose when highly stressed. The vet said that's normal when they get really stressed out. Sometimes just a car ride is enough to do it to them. As long as the nose dries up after and doesn't continue to run, I'd say it's fine. Keep an eye and if it continues I'd see the vet about it.
