Corrina (my dutch)
Does she look semi decent? I think she could be improved upon a wee bit) she's having a bad fur day.

Guinevere (Flemish Giant) supposed to be Light Grey, but she is the darkest light gray I have seen.

Willow (Velveteen Lop) Would NOT pose to save our lives! O_O she posed so nicely when I got her... I think I let my buns have too much free reign

I love Guinevere's colour, even if she isn't the colour she is supposed to be! She's gorgeous, and man those ears are impressive haha

Mary and Corrina and such cuties too, love their colours as well. Belladonna is lovely, she looks like my Lopsy. I would not expect Belladonna to produce a baby with Mary's colouring, but I don't know much in the way of rabbit genetics.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. Bring on the boy pics :)

I don't really know anything about these breeds, but I don't like the head on the Dutch for sure. It's long and narrow. Markings look good though.

If they are posed correctly we could tell you more critque wise. :biggrin:The flemish is tucked up and shouldn't be. :)

Yes my thoughts on her exactly, I know she has a long and narrow head, her mom had a very nice one though, it was shorter and wider, I didn't have a chance to see the dad though, her siblings though all had very cruddy markings.

I love the head and ears on your flemish giant - but she isn't posed right. Her back feet need to be further back - so it is hard to judge her type.

I love her ears though - she's gonna grow into a beauty - at least in the face.

Lol you wanna come pose her? hehe I would put her feet back, and she would wait for me to move back and get the camera ready then she would stretch her feet out in front that way. so I was like FINE and bunched her in a ball and she just tilted her head and looked at me like what'd I do? lol
She is very pretty in the face I love her to death! ^_^
She's 4 Months old. Almost 5.

I'll try to pose her better though later when my battery is charged.

They are so hard to pose at that age....really...trust me.

How big is she - any idea on her weight?

My Big Jake is 5 months old now and is 9 pounds 9 1/2 ounces. Calamity Jane (sister) is at 9 pounds 1/2 ounce. Then the others go down from there...so knowing her weight would give me an idea of what size she is compared to mine.

Who will you be breeding your doe to? I wish you were closer - I would consider letting you use Mercury if you wanted (and I don't usually allow that) - but he is throwing very typey babies in every litter I have from him.

I'm still looking for a buck since I have her brother, and they were from a brother/sister breeding, which I didn't notice until last week.

But their dad took best in breed or best of show or something like that in March.

She is nearly 10lbs, Last time I weighed them was last week and they were:
Doe: 9lbs 10oz
Buck: 10lbs 2oz

Yeah it is too bad that we're not closer. :(

Wow - that's bigger than Jake (and I thought he was big).

Good luck finding a buck. Any chance you could breed her back to her dad and the breeder getting pick of the litter? That might do well for you.

The breeder is 5.5 hours away >_<
That also seems like alot of IB (inbreeding)
I'd have to check the IB for that.

I have a friend that lives in CO that I meet several times a year (rat breeder too) and she has offered to help me bring in a buck, if we can find a good breeder out there (I know there a few flemmie breeders out there but I need to research to see if they are ok) ^_^

Yes these two are bigguns ^_^

Your Dutch has reallly long ears. I don't think she would be a good show doe, and I probably wouldn't bred her. Could you get a doe that has shorter ears? ;) Her head looks a little too...long to me...I would like to see a more chunky, cobbier head - Dutch are supposed to be cobby.

I'll see what some other Dutch breeders think, though. ;) Those are just my thoughts on her, I don't breed Dutch but have been around them. ;)

Yeah her head is long, and squished (narrow), her ears aren't too terribly long in person, just in the picture.

I figured find a Buck with a short face and wider, maybe just better type. Her's isn't too bad from what I can tell. ^_^

Yah her markings look okay from what I now about that, hah. It's just mainly her head/ears.

Yeah, breeding to a buck with better head and shorter ears will probably help the first generation get started on getting those smaller ears/betterhead. Find a really nice buck, though!

I know Jack Langley has nice stock - but I don't know if he ships.

If you're willing to wait - the best thing might be to wait until ARBA nationals and see if someone from your area is going and could bring back a buck for you - then you could start searching for a nice buck from breeders attending ARBA.

I'd highly recommend Juan Perez from Iberia Flemish Giants (some of the nicest I've seen - he's been breeding for 25 years ) - but then again - you have shipping costs.

No
She doesn't deal with rabbits anymore, she used to show her rabbits until she got married and her hubby has allergies. She rehomed them all about 10 years ago. So that's why If I found a good bun breeder and got some from them she said she would pick em up for me, and meet me for them. (she's in Denver but such an awesome person).

i have a dutch buck that could fix that head in future generations, he has dq'ed markings, i think they wouldmake some beautiful babies, unfortunatley he was a raffle rabbit and has no pedigree, i cant keep im anymore
