i tried to get a variety of shots (i have a new respect from people trying to get shots of their rabbits, she just wouldn't stay still!!! :rabbithop) but she's 8 weeks old (roughly) she's a little over a foot long (sorry not sure about weight) soooo uhhhh if anyone has any clue then i'd like to know

i agree with pam, we had a litter of mini lop and mini rex with kits just like that. . .but you never can be sure!

well i've been looking up pictures and descriptions and the one that sounds the most like her (and looks like her) seems to be the english spot

English Spot
5-8 lbs (2.3-3.6 kg)
White with black, blue, chocolate, gold, grey, lilac or tortoise. Marking include butterfly mark on nose, colored ears, eye rings, spine marking (which is herringboned) and a spot on the cheek and a chain of spots along the body. Long arched body (like a hare).

still unsure about the body shape of a hare but mostly everything else seems to fit, although she could be a mix though, i'll see if the vet knows when i go on monday. but thanks for the guesses :D

The English Spot has a smooth fly back coat and longer body. She doesn't appear to be a Spot. None of her markings resemble the proper Spot markings, but do look like the broken pattern markings of a Mini Rex or Lop. The Spots have been very selectively bred for certain patterns. Although the patterns vary (some are even completely solid colored), they do have certain characteristics in common that I don't see on your rabbit.

Here's a website with baby Spots: http://www.4everfriendsrabbitry.com/litters.htm

Note how the eye circles are well defined and also note the distinct cheek markings. Most have a full butterfly, but you note a "charlie" in the litter with 2 nose spots. Some spots have very light or very congested side markings, but they do not have the large patterned areas like your rabbit. Cairo also has many spot connections along her spine, which English Spots would not have to that extent.

Also note thelonger body type of the babies in the photo and their smooth coats. The "gray" coat of the English Spot (the same color genetically as your rabbit), is distinctly different in appearance from other breeds due to it's lack of ring color and the numerous and distinct black guard hairs.

oooooo ok, yeah, now i see that. i guess the description threw me off, but she does look different from them. and since that was the closest thing i could find i just assumed. does a mini lop mix necessarily have the lop ears???

i'll see if the vet will be able to tell since he'll be able to have her in person but thanks fortelling me about that:D

Its not unusual for a lop to occasionally have erect ear carriage. I see it occasionally in my purebred lops. A lop mix would be even more likely to have erect ears.

Oooh, those English Spot babies are sooo pretty! I've never seen ES kits before. They aren't a very common breed in my area. I like the way they look, but they are not a breed I would want to try to show because you have to be so particular about their markings for show. I would be afraid there would be so many culls, which of course for me means pet homes.
