My bunny chew on the urine guard

I've installed a urine guard on my bunnies cage and i've made the guard using a corugated board. Now my bunnies are chewing on the urine guard. Now sure why their behavior changed suddenly as i've installed the urine guard 2 months ago. Any advise?

My rabbits take on 'projects', and anything could inspire it. A box in the same place for a year can suddenly become a 'project'.

It's also taken my rabbits a couple of months to decide that something new is not convenient and should be removed.

At least its keeping them entertained!
