Since Mya has rejected her kits, they been under my care. She still allows nursing, provided we distract her. However, she seems to be losing weight. As the kits grow, we increase her food, and she always has a steady supply of water. Why is Mya losing weight? Is that something rabbit's just do?

Why do I feel a vet visit coming on.......

If she is nursing the babies, (and I estimate they are about 11 days old?), I'd be free feeding her all the pellets she wants. If she is cleaning up her pellets in a day, she needs more while she is nursing.

I'd also mix in atablespoon or two of oats (cooking Quaker Oats oatmeal), to help with the weight loss.
