The Missus in currently reading a novel, The Summer I Dared by Barbara Delinsky, Scribner, New York, 2004 in which the major characters are in some way or manner involved in raising Angora rabbits.

In thetext it is mentioned that some of the breeders dissuade flies accumulating around their buns by using chrysanthemum extract and rosemary oil. Didn't describe the manner in which was used, just that it was used.

Some of us add vanilla flavoring to our buns' drinking water for that expressed purpose. Does anyone have experience with either or both these substances and how they might be used?
