So, I finally decided to do a blog, keeping up with it will be a different story. Tis why I usually don't have a blog. Oh, actually I have a half dozen that I have abandoned. heh.
I've had rabbits in the past, growing up, had one for my children when they were small. Never realizing then the 'real' world of buns. Since my first rescue many months ago, ( my mom's rabbit) I have learned that I have a thing for Buns. I'm good with them. I 'get them' I can actually speak Lagamorphia heh. I thought Dogs were my 'thing' but I'm even more bonded with Buns. And I love this Bunny world, I don't know how I ever survived without them.
At present time, I have Bonny1 1/2 yrs old.( the rescued from my mom) I think..NZ/Rex cross. She has some English Spotting too. regardless, I love her all the same.
Dandelion- 5 month old ( havn't decided the color yet) Lionhead. rescued from a friend's friend's son... Dandy was to be snakefood.
Sage and Oregano - 3-4 mo old brothers... Lionheads -color not decided yet. Rescued from local shelter.
Turnip Top- 3-4 mo old b&w ( broken?) American Fuzzy Lop ( I thught she was a JW at first) - rescued at the same time and place as Sage & Oregano.
Frappuchino- 6 mo. old Tort Lionhead given to me by the pet store owner whom I was turning in .
Deea the Wondermous Runny Babbit - 12 wk old Fawn Flemish Giant. The first bun I have bought.. show bun, proven parents, pedigreed and all.
I have been slowly remodeling my house ( more like smallish apt) and while doing so, bunny safing it all. It seems to be taking forever, especially now with all the bunny care added. But that's ok. I am loving every minute of it ( ok, well not vaccuming up all the territorial poops from the boys before I go to bed just to wake up and have to do it all over again.. and there's alot!) But they all start getting spayed and neutered this month so I'm hoping that will get better.
Anyways, My living room is all buns. I figure I don't really need furniture in there. I bought a floor chair from Target to sit on the floor with them, since I'm old now and don';t do floors well anymore. And since Deea has come here, I need a bigger space and the couch is now just an aggrivation. I spend more time on the floor anyway! Besides, the couch has turned into the dog bed lol. But if I can sit on the floor, so can they!
I want to start showing at some point with Deea, so that's a future goal :)
A few pictures to get started and I'll post adventures and more pics later.

Thanks thanks!
Dandy loves his Bear. He grooms him, snuggles him and obviously, from catching him on film, plots against me. heh ;)

Silly Sage tends to hang like that alot and oregano lives under him but can reach him through those bars and tends to nibble his feet.
They are so funny.

Aww I am in love,

Welcome to Houdini Central :?
So it seems that all buns that are not in a 100% latched up, roof covered, airtight cage are escaping during the night and visiting. I have been woken up during the middle of the night by lots of clammoring and scratching noises for 3 nights straight now. Upon arriving in the Bunny Room, I dodge Territorial Poops( TP's) like a well covered landmine, while trying to wake up enough to find the culprit.
Dandelion, Turnip and Frappy have all had their naughty freedom.
Silly, newish bun owner me, I assumed since they were young and small and the cages were built two panels up that they couldn't escape. Again, silly silly human me for not thinking like a rabbit.
Frappy leaped tall panels onto the kitchen counter! I'm so glad I got to him before he decided to jump off or get into anything. I sooo wish I had had a camera then. So he got a roof built @ 4 in the morning. He is mad. Pouty, sulky, mad. He won't look at me now.
Turnip Top didn't scale her panels, rather, she jiggled her panels until they came loose from the connectors ( foolish me again, I hadn't put zip ties on them as her pen is a temp one. I had planned on making a permanant one within just a few days of getting her, now has turned into over a month.) I caught her red handed seducing Dandelion through his panel bars. Batting her eyelashes, showing him her pretty tail, primping herself and making her ears all purdy. She even brought him a gift of TP's and Eau de Toilette Spray in a fine girly bunny scent. I scooped her up loved on her while informing her what a naughty bunny girl she was and put her back in her pen and commenced to zip tieing @ 6 am. SHe is more forgiving than the boys, she is back to being cuddly with me.
Dandelion decided he wanted an adventure as well. I mean, seriously. How fair is it that the others get to be naughty and he doesn't?
He escaped one night before and I *thought* I figured out how and fixed the source. But ohhh noooo. He is too smart for his own good. * smarter than me anyhow*
He was caught visiting all the pretty girls and taunting the other boys. I watched him for a few minutes, because he sure loves the girls and is very funny to watch when around them. When they are out and he is in his pen, and they arenot paying attention to him, he thumps and poses and rattles his bars. Then he thumps again until they come to visit him.
I trapped him while he was showing off for Deea and escorted him back tohis pen. Since I *thought* I fixed the escape route, I hid and watched for how he was getting out. The little squirt climbed his 2 tall panels and hopped on over! ( his pen is built under a table so it is almost completely covered, but there's about 6 inches wide open at the top...this is where he escaped).
Ohhh the little devil bunny. 3 in the morning ( this morning) and I was just too tired to properly fix it. I took some loose panels, positioned them over the opening and draped a heavy quilt over them until I can fix it today.
He's mad at me too. He's thumping and rattling his bars and won't take my Craisin. He's lying there like a stone when I approach him and gives me his best disapproving face. So , yes, I am in the Bunny House.
Fine, I'll just eat their Craisins myself :p
Needless to say, my Buns have taught me yet more valuable lessons:
1. Don't think you are smart just because you are a human.
2. Do not procrastinate securing cages, pens and etc. thinking they aren't interested in escaping just because they are young and small.
3. No matter the size, Bunnies can jump rather high and can squeeze through very small spaces and are proficient climbers.
4. Hormonal Teen Bunnies will do just about anything to get to the girls.
5. It is now time to take charge and get them snipped and snapped.
6. Don't think you are smart just because you are human!

I will be around on board during my cage reconstruction breaks this weekend, but otherwise, I will be rebuilding all cages, triple checking for escape routes, and do some extra bunny safing. Maybe at this point installing a Bun Security Escape Alert System is not an extreme idea after all. I need one of those like in a prison, that when they escape, all bright flood lights come on and a wailing siren blares and guards come rushing out with Bunny nets and Craisins for bribery.
( I will also try and get some better pictures throught the weekend.)

Good luck with the cages:Dthey are brilliant escape artists lol they do love to keep you on your toes lol. Really beautiful buns:biggrin2:
