The only flowers we have at the moment are Dandelions popping up on the lawns. It has been a slow start to the warm weather, but everything is dry and dusty. Last week brush fires have been a problem because the greenery have not taken over the brown vegetation in the fields.

I started the month by attending a Rabbit Show in Calgary. It was my first timeat that showand I finally got to see Flemish Giants been judged. The breeder was gracious enough (with hesitation) to allow me to hold one of her prized animals.Iwas trilled to see them. The Flemish won two BIS out of the three shows in Calgary.

As per usual, the May long is looking like it is going to be miserable.

I haven't been on much but my babies are all well. They have finally been moved outdoors!

I've had a few potentially serious health issues raised since January, I'm still waiting on tests/results but I'm trying to be patient and positive but I mean come on, I've known about this since January and I still haven't had the test done yet to confirm a diagnosis.. I'm a little frustrated with our system.

On a bright note, I bought a horse this week, she comes home on Saturday! I need to get a little more active and I figured why not? I can afford it now and it's something I have always wanted to do and I have experience with horses... so I am going to be training my own horse! She's never even had anyone on her back yet!

Hope everyone is well.

Arg, well the owner is on the fence about selling her, she backed out this morning and then came back and said, no sorry... I can have her. So I'm on pins and needles until she signs that bill of sale!

This is hopefully going to be my horse as of tomorrow, Rio.

MBB, I'm sorry to hear you are having health issues and wish you the best of luck. Also, whata beautiful horse! :)

You look rather happy with that Flemish, Stan. :)

It's been a while since I've posted around this area. February to be exact, I think. Anyways a lot has happened since then. I had my external fixature taken off the begining of February and had a boot on for 6 weeks. I am using a cane and sometimes walking without as it just depends on the day.I had my6 weekcheck up yesterday with my surgeon and was released to go back to work on June 1 with limitations. My last physical therapy will be next weekif I don't want more. That's really in my court because of health insurance.

My current one Ipay a $12 co-pay and that is IT.It doesn't matter if the appointment cost $20 or $20,000. My next insurance I have to pay the first $150 and then25% after that. A physical therapy appointment costsanywhere from $300 to$500. I'm not sure if I can afford that right now without a job.

I am also still having problems after having my gallbladder taken out. So I just started a second type of medication to see if that will help. If it doesn't then it's off to a specialist. :(

Besides health, life is great! I had my first adventure away from the home since the car accident. It involved a trip to the OSRBA Mini Convention. There were many wonderful hands around to help whenever I needed the assistance. :) It was loads of fun! This weekend is our local show in which will bea lot of work on my part. LOL! Dummy volunteered to do open show reports and then show super. Well, found out the youth secretary wouldn't be able to attend so now all that is on my plate. Luckily, my 4-H club is in charge of the entry table this year. So it won't be tooo bad. :)

And here I was looking all over the picture to see the owner on a fence. :p I think you will get the horse. Are you going to keep it at the sellers place?

It's hard to hear that you have some health issues. Hopefully the tests come soon. You are so young.

Thanks Amanda. It was the first time I got to hold a Flemish. It was a big cuddly baby. Too bad my pockets were too small to bunny nap the Giant. :whistling The owners were selling them for $100, but I think I could of got one for $50. Bringing one home would be a different story. My wife would ban me from future shows. :(

You are taking on too much at the local show. You are practically running the wholeshow. I just take pictures at shows, but just that is so tiring at the end of the day. However, my camera weighs as much as a Flemish. ;)

It's all good for the local show. It's normally 600 head or so which is not big at all. I've got walkies to help keep things easier. It's all planned out! :p

We should move you to Edmonton, and let you run our shows. I think we only have up to300, so we usually have double, triple or quad shows.

Was outside checking to see the new moon. It was suppose to reflect the light from the earth tonight as the sun sets. However the sky was overcast so no moon was in sight.

I did get a picture of this....

He must of been looking for the moon too. :biggrin2:

Great photo of the rabbit Stan!!
There is a wild rabbit at the place where our sheep used to be and the other morning I when I went to feed it ran into the goats pasture. The littlest goat just looked at it weird. Then the bunny ran to the shed, dug and little bit and popped under!

I always see it when I don't have my camera. And when I do i don't see it. aggh! lol
