So our Maxybuns is about 6 months old and has all of a sudden started scratching furiously when picked up. He never used to be like this and he will also nip at you. I try to stand my ground with him but he hurts when he scratches. We recently had a litter of kittens so not sure if that has anything to do with it. The kittens are 8 weeks old and he loves playing with them. He has started pooping and peeing everywhere again too. I just kinda figured it was the kittens. When do rabbits enter adolescence and how much does it usually cost to have them neutered?

Not sure about other things...... But here in California, I paid $55 each for my rabbits to get neutered. However; I got quoted at some places from $90 to $250!! Make sure you call around and find a specialist who doesnt overcharge!

You have an adolescent 'bunny from h*ll' for a month or two, but it will pass. It will last a few months, or just a month or so if you get him neutered.

This is the reason so many rabbits are abandoned at that age.

Neuters here are around $110 for the no-laser surgery vets, and more for those with the laser technology.
