My friend recently got two pure white albinos with red eyes.

Trouble is he cannot dintinguish between Snow andRed Eye.

I was wondering wether to advise him to use a permanent marker to differentiate them.

The marker i have in mind is a Xyleneand Toulene free one.

Will it harm the rabbits it they lick it etc.?

thanks

Abdul

I wouldn't trust a marker, the bunnies always groom each other so they will ingest it even in a hard-to-reach spot.

The usual way is a 'punch' or electric tatoo thing, but that's expensive and it hurts.

How about a small dab of food dye on the upper chest, just out of reach of the bunny tongue? I don't think the other bunny will spend much time grooming that area. It will have to be redone reasonably often, but it's safe and easy.

I have seen rescues mark REWs with paint/marker in the inside of their ears. I'm not totally sure what they use to mark though, so hopefully someone else will come along with the answer. I just know it can be done :)
