Acorn has developed a habit of following me around the house and nipping at my ankles when I stop. When he does it, he isn't biting me hard at all and seems to be asking for attention maybe because if I pet him afterwards he "assumes the position" (that's what the local HRS people call it when a bunny goes into like the meatloaf position with their heads on the ground to be petted) and seems very happy to get some loving.
So is he just looking for attention here? I am not sure how I should react to this behavior.

Exactly! It's one of their ways to get attention. Most of the times they want to be petted or play and they demand that you concentrate on their need NOW!!!

Tyrone used to do that a bit when he was younger, I noticed it was when he was in a frisky type mood and wanted to play. He never drew blood or seriously hurt me though, it was in a playful way :)
