Loud chewing

Timothy hay is very crunchy and rabbits really need to work at it with their teeth in order to get it down, so it's natural for it to be loud when they're chewing. I personally feel very relaxed when I hear my rabbit eating hay at the other side of the room, because I know he's doing something very healthy for his teeth and tummy. Since it's only happening with hay, I suspect this is what's happening, and it's nothing to be concerned about.

If it sounds like she's having trouble breathing or if it looks like she's physically struggling to chew it (not just taking a while to re-arrange the hay in her mouth, but there's difficulty doing the chewing motion and swallowing), then that's more indicative of concern. Usually this would be accompanied by similar experiences with other food types though.
