It is sad!

I will rebreed her when I do another round of breeding. She kept her weight

fine and is a young doe. This was her first litter.

I hope next time they are all really nice babies for her.

What do the does do when they lose so many to being peanuts?

Fortunately or unfortunately whichever way you look at it the babies were

dead when I discovered them. She was still pulling fur and covering them. I

don't think she realized they were dead. I pulled out the box and then I took

her out to check and make sure she was OK and didn't have any more in her.

The minute she hit the grooming table she flattened out and asked to be bred.

I put her back in her cage and fed her and she acted as if nothing happened.

Rabbits are funny creatures and move on rather quickly. Sometimes I think they

have the right idea not dwelling on things.

The next time she is bred she is going to be bred to a buck that does not

carry the dwarfing gene. No peanuts!
