I want to write an article for the DTH (http://www.dailytarheel.com/) UNC's newspaper about Easter bunnies. I was hoping to write something I was thinking about a week week and a half before Easter warning my fellow students about the horrible things that happen to buns and to tell their parents/siblings/etc to think about chocolate buns instead of real ones.

I'd love some extra information to help me with the article, and any volunteers to read it while I'm drafting would be awesome!! :)

PS!! On a better note, my local Pet Supermarket isn't selling bunnies before Easter... unfortunately it's not because of what happens to them, but because so many people buy the buns for Easter and then bring them back the next day... but still, anything helps!! :)

This is on a site...for the meet up rabbit group in the area...don't know how much help it could be but hey..

I mentioned at the Meetup today that I have a website and that I would be happy to donate space to "Make Mine Chocolate." Specifically if you check out the main page, http://www.Prose-n-Po... you will see that there is a picture of the Japanese anime character "Sailor Moon." During this Easter season I will change that to a "Make Mine Chocolate" image that one of our Meetup members can make. It can be either a still done in Photoshop or a video. It would probably work best if it elicits interest and has "Click for more info" on the image/video. I'll link that to what ever article one of our Meetup members writes, preferably on the Prose-n-Poetry site.

Basic membership at Prose-n-Poetry is free and it allows most functions.

Anyone who would like to do this can email me through the "Email Us" link at the top right of any page so we can coordinate.

I also have another website, http://www.SailorMoon... . That is a forum format and if anyone would like you can join and post a "Make Mine Chocolate" post. Both sites are quite popular with young and well as older people.

If you guys need some pics of abandoned Easter buns...I can provide them to you. Noah is our poster child for abandoned bunnies. Her story is in our blog. She is a blue eyed Hotot that was "set free" near Myrtle Beach. She was nearly starved....and got hit by a car. I got a call from The Ark Animal Hospital in Surfside Beach. A concerned motorist stoppped to help this little bunny when she saw her get hit in the road. Fortunately, she took this rabbit to the one hospital on the Grand Strand that had a vet that could triage this type of injury. I was off work that day so I left on the four hour trip. I had never seen a rabbit that injured that survived. She had all sorts of internal injuries, a dislocated front leg and a broken jaw. She has suffered some severe dental issues but we have them to a managable level. She was admitted to the hospital and triaged under their charity for stray animals....The Noah Fund.....and we named her in honor of that.

I would be happy to review your article. We routinely do educational events on just this subject. Usually the open house at the Vet School over at State ties right in on timing but they are not having it this year due to construction at the small animal facility.

And if you haven't seen this site....it's great. www.makeminechocolate.org
