Its day 32 for my elop, and she has been in labor since at least 5:00 today. She has had one so far, which was born alive but then when I went back to check on her just now (have just been peeking in on her and leaving her alone for the most part so as not to stress her) it looked like she had squashed the poor thing :( I removed it when she got out of her box to get a drink of water. I can still feel babies inside her so I know it wasnt just one big kit (although this one was pretty darn big)

This is the longest labor I've seen, usually its over so quick I miss it. So its been three and a half hours- is it time to intervene???

Still nothing... but she isnt distressed looking, just sitting there munching hay in her box. Leaving her alone and waiting for now- man its hard! LOL

It is most likely just a long labor. When my Holland lop doe gave birth for the first time, I went out and checked on her at 6 am and she had a nice big kit in the nest. I went back and checked on her at least every hour and when I went out around 11 am she had given birth to another small & skinny kit on the wire so I moved that kit into the nest with the larger kit. They both survived :)

Still nothing. Shes back in the box though, and she still doesnt really seem distressed. If she catches me looking at her she will stick her head out and look at me or come to the cage door like shes looking for a treat.

And....still nothing. She's still huge. She does not appear to be in distress. I'm so worried about her. If she still hasn't done anything by tomorrow I think it's time for oxytocin.

Sorry to hear that. You mentioned that you could feel babies inside her after she had the first one. Were they moving at the time?
