From being told by the Doctor at the Pain Clinic that there was nothing more they could do for me and that I would have to learn to live with the pain , I have since been to see my Doctor this morning and she said "Nonsense, you can't like like this" and has advised seeking a 2nd opinion and I am seeing a Neuro Surgeon on Thursday !!

Good for you. I "had" a doctor and neuro surgeon who didn't believe the pain was that bad. The doctor said if I could walk into her office I was ok.
Changed to a doctor that was willing to work on finding out the cause. She sent me to a Reumotalogist (sp) where after multiple tests it was determined to be Fibromialigia (sp).
Since then have been to a specialist, Neuro surgeons for shots in my back, Psychiatrist for depression and all have confirmed the diagnosis.
Your's may not be the same but don't give up till you find the reason and they help you relieve the pain safely.

I'm going to my first appointment with a pain clinic on Thursday. Its the second pain clinic I've been to(last one was 10 years ago) so I'm hoping they can do something to help me. Its very discouraging when the doctors just tell you to live with it and there is nothing they can do for you. There is ALWAYS something else to try!
