Jerusalem Artichokes

I have a big bag of jerusalem artichokes and am wondering if I can give some to my rabbits? When I google it I get conflicting information; supposedly they are fine and are high in prebiotics so good for the gut but alternatively they cause lots of gas so aren't good for the gut.
