Hi everyone, my name is Renay, I'm here because last Wednesday my boyfriend went to work and found a rabbit running around the busy parking lot. He spent 15 minutes chasing the bunny who was under a car (he works as a mechanic) and would run from one end to the other without coming out. Finally the little guy decided to go over to the neighbors to munch on their flowers and Nik caught him.

When I arrived home, I was told to go upstairs and look in the cat carrier - "no you're not allowed to keep it, you have to find a home for it" so, I had no idea what it was and assumed it was a cat (it would be understandable that I wasn't to keep it, we already have three!)... Boy was I surprised when I seen the little guy sitting inside. He is absolutely adorable (I'll attach pictures to proveit lol).

I had a friend in mind who may want him, but it ended up being a no go, within two days I was already in love with the rabbit anyway, and over the weekend Nik called it "his" rabbit, so we know hes here to stay! He for the first time since here, did a popcorn today and I was so happy!

I noticed that in another persons intro, they mentioned their new found pet had been dropped over their fence... My assumption as to what happened with this little guy is that someone bought him for their children, and since the kids are now in school and not paying attention to the rabbit anymore - well its just easier to throw it outside right? Wronnggg!!

(there he goes popcorning again haha)

So, his name is Gumby, hes here to stay and I'm here to learn because this is my first ever rabbit!

*please don't mind the messy floor, I kicked over a bunch of chinchilla sand trying to get my camera lol - note to self: store the sand in the actual room of the chinchilla :D*

I think it is drop-off season! Bunnies do well in cooler weather, and with school starting and all... :rollseyes

Anyway... he really is a doll baby!!!

Adorable bunny!

Yup. Just enough time has gone by since Easter that the kids have gotten bored with it and are back to school, and mom/dad don't want to deal with it anymore.

isn't it sad? I co-manage a dog rescue and we see this with dogs all the time, everyone just has a disgusting throw away notion when it comes to pets - well not everyone, but a vast majority and it sickens me :( luckily for Gumby, he has found his forever home.

oh my gosh hes a perfect little bun!!.might wanna cut that celery up i heard they can choke on the strings..i dont chop up any other veggies for my buns ,,just the celery...im so glad ur boyfriend took the time to catch Gumby ..he is stinkin cute!!keep us updated on him!
