Hi everyone. My rabbits have free access both indoors and outdoor. Right now I have bald wood fence all the way around. I'd like some plants to hide the fences to have more green in the garden. It can get freezing cold in the winter sometimes here (similar to Michigan weather) I am looking for plants that are not poisonous to rabbits, (but I hope rabbits are not crazy about them neither), winter hardy, good looking, and will give the fences a good coverage. Is such a plant exist?

I know ivy isn't safe, but I don't really know much about too many plants. I know there's some plant growing down a wall in my yard, that my rabbits used to like to nibble on when let outside years ago, but I have no idea what the plant is(just know it's not ivy). It's not a climbing plant though. Maybe you could find a plant that would work, on the site below.

Hornbeam (carpinus betulus) comes to mind, is used a lot for fences over here. Loses leafs in winter though.
