Is it dangerous to shave a rabbit with a dog shaver?

Hi everyone,

My friend called me the other day saying her rabbit was getting mattedaround the behind area. She also has a dog, so she has this dogshaverto shave out mats out of dogs. So she asked me if itwas ok to shave her rabbit with the dog shaver. I said that I wouldcall her back about it......is it dangerous to shave your rabbit with adog shaver??? I've seen the shaver before....and it does have somereally gentle blades that came with it. But would it hurt arabbit? The pic below is a pic of the shaving kit.

Surgical blades can work well, other bladeseasily dull. We use embroidery scissors with a sharp tip to shear therabbits down to the skin. Angoras can get easilystressed and die from shearing, so you need to be careful.
