I never knew pinecones were okay forbuns.......i have tons all around my house...i was actually searchingto see if was okay for freddy to have a piece of tomato and this linkwas posted in a thread(http://rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=86&forum_id=1&highlight=tomato)byPam

it says the following on pinecones : "Pinecones makewonderful snacks/toys for rabbits, but you must prepare them properlyfirst. Take a pinecone and wash it thoroughly to remove dirt, insects,and sap. Dry off the pinecone. Put it in the oven and bake it for onehour at 200 degrees"
 
That's very nice to know. Next time Igo up to Mt lemmon I will make sure to bring home some pinecones. I'm always looking for toys for my rabbits that don'tcost an arm and a leg. Thank you for this post
