I'm making a poster for my 4-H rabbit club called "Genetic Science of the Rabbit," and it's lookin' really great, however, I have a lot of empty spaces. I figured I could have a step by step illustration of the germ cell splitting in the male and female during breeding and the form of the whole new cell that becomes a kit.If anyone can provide pictures, or a link, that'd be great!!

I'm sure many understood what you're talking about, however, it is very time consuming to do someone's research.

There are many sites online that diagram the cell divisions after fertilization (in rabbits, this occurs approx. 10 hours after breeding).

Within approx. 72 hours, the egg reaches the 8-16 cell stage, then migrates to the uterus when it attaches to the uterine wall after approx. 1 week.

I've posted some links below to help get you started . . .

Were you able to find the above info helpful or isn't it what you were looking for? There are also excellent books available from the library that you should find helpful.

Oh, yes!;)Thank you so much, Pamnock!!

Although, I think we're still going to go to the library... I want to find some pictures to photocopy. My poster's looking great, except for one empty spot in the middle, lol.
