I'm so excited I just can't contain it! My new addition has arrived and I have to say - I'm in love. He's so adorable. Words can't even explain his cuteness (pictures will follow in the next couple of days). And I'm not just saying that because I'm biased - he really is a cutie patootie.
I adopted him from a woman who sadly was moving and couldn't take him with her. I saw the ad on Craig's List and it was actually a heartwarming story instead of the typical sad cases I seem to read. She was a wonderful owner and she really cared for the little guy. We're going to keep in touch, but I'm glad he's here and in my care. I've fallen for him...and it's only been a couple of hours!
He is a 4-month old black holland lop andhis name is Miko [pronounced meeko]. He's a little skittish and overwhelmed, but I think he'll settle down in time. When I was holding him, though, he was snuggling up close and giving me little bunny kisses. It was so sweet! He's resting comfortably in his cage for the night and has already eaten some pellets, hay, and a little treat I snuck him [can we say craisin].
I'm so sad that I'll have to leave him tomorrow to go on my business trip. I have someone coming to house-sit, but I'm still a worried mom. My other two little buns are also on my mind. They know something's up, but we'll be waiting until I return home for any introductions. But let's not forget I'll be coming home with my little Indiana-rescue bunny [see, "rescue me," forum] and it'll be another day for excitement.
It's going to be a hard weekend away from my buns, but I know I'll have not one, not two, not even three, but four happy little rabbits to welcome me home on Sunday! And I'll definitely have pictures by then! I'm one lucky bunny mama!
