So the elderly man we got our bunny from says he’s had him about 10 years or so but this man also has dementia.
We went to the vet and she said she just knew bunny was an adult. We didn’t tell her what age the man said and let her suggest the age. She said an adult maybe around two or could be older.
Is there a way we might get a better age idea? Anyone wise on telling a rabbits age?
The reason I’m concerned is that if bunny is 10 already I don’t want to put him through desexing but if he still has many years left then that’s another issue.

How does he act? Does he have a lot of energy? The energy scale is the way I would decide how old he is. I would only get him neutered if he is super territorial, just because you don't know for sure how old he is.

He has a lot of energy he will run after us in the garden and he is trying to hump my dog all day long. It’s got so bad I’ve had to put him in an outside pen until I decide what to do. He’s getting quite aggressive about mating with my dog.

Also on energy side of things- he hops around the room all day and night until we go to bed. No binkys but active all day and absolutely hates getting locked in his indoor playpen at night.

I would guess he is five or six, but possibly older. I don't really know.
