Just want to show everyone that any space can be made into a bunny pen.
So here is my buns daytime pen for when he cannot be free roaming. The floor is a heavy duty shower curtain, old sheet and then the top is a washable whelp/incontinence pad. The banister openings is protected by that plastic banister guards for kids. The C&C grids are zip tied to the banister on the right side and the left side is held up by the 2 story condo (NIC connectors and zip ties). It is low enough so I can step over it (he is not a jumper/climber) but I also have a "gate" in the middle that opens the grids by folding them back (to the entire width of the entrance). The entire left side NIC section is easy to remove to make cleaning the area a cinch. The littler box is a heavy duty plastic tub from cabelas. The hay rack is just a NIC grid bent with cardboard at the bottom to keep the hay from falling down. The steps are covered with under rug rubber mat (so he does not slip). The top level is cardboard covered by a towel. So far he seems to like it. What was dead space is now a fun place for Spot! I used 2 boxes of NIC cubes to make this. It was the ones from Target with 2 different size grids so I used the small grids for the gate and sides and the large ones for the house where he would not be tempted to try and stick his head through (along the wall/ceiling). Target had a box for $19.00 so it was not expensive at all.
My cat blocking the way trying to get a sniff and Spot trying to push his way up the steps!
