Hi, I'm new to this place, but I love it already. I have two young dwarf rabbits. They're named after Firefly characters. Jayne, the male, is about 5 months old. He is grey with a white belly and chin. He's affectionate, but was kinda flighty before I got the female. In the last day or so, if he isn't watching her through the bars of her cage (neither are fixed, and I don't want little surprises), he is chasing me up to my bed or my couch and demanding to be rubbed. He's going to be neutered in the next few weeks, which I'm hoping to get the female fixed while he is healing.
Kaylee is my female dwarf. She is black with some small white patches and a caramel brown on the edges of her feet. She's bigger than Jayne, and I don't know if he's just small or if the females are just bigger. She seems to be fluffier than he is. I've had her only a few days, and I'm hoping to get her to a vet in Springfield to find out when I should get her fixed. I'm guessing she's about 8 weeks old, since that was the age Jayne was when I got him, and I got them from the same place. She seems to be taking to Jayne, and whenever he's near her cage, she's watching and sniffing. She's affectionate, and likes her forehead to be rubbed. She's also tearing up her potty pads (Jayne is trained to a dog potty pad). It's almost like she's nesting. I don't know. I'm new to bunny parenting, so everything is a new and wonderful surprise. She has binked a few times since I got her, but she is flighty when I try to pet her outside her cage.
I love having rabbits. They make me smile no matter what and I think having the pair will make their lives so much more happier.
