Hi everyone! I am new here, and am taking a look around. Let me introduce myself and my buns.
I was introduced into the wonderful world of bunnies in 2002, when I got my first bunny, Zoie. Yeah, he was a pet store bunny - an adorable little Holland Lop I couldn't resist. I gave myself somewhat of a crash course in bunny parenting - luckily I had a great vet who had house rabbits of her own. I learned that he needed to be neutered as well as proper diet, housing, etc. My Zo bunny was the sweetest, most wonderful little bunny anyone could ask for. Sadly, he had a lot of health problems, and despite my best efforts, he passed away in 2008. I still miss him, and will forever be grateful to him for showing me how awesome bunnies are!
I adopted my bunny Chloe shortly after Zoie's passing. She is a lovable little Holland lop mix who apparently spent the first 2 years of her life locked in an outdoor hutch. Needless to say, she's a happy indoor bunny now (and the love of my life!)
In 2009, I adopted a wonderful REW named Milhouse. He had been dumped in a park. Despite his rough start, he was a friendly, wonderful little bunny. I bonded him and Chloe, but in May of this year, he passed away suddenly. I was devastated. He is forever in my heart.
Well, next came Kahlua. He was born at the rescue, so he had a pretty good start to life, aside from not having a home! I took Chloe on a bunny date, and she and Kahlua seemed to hit it off, so he came home with me. Kahlua is a handsome little chocolate Dutch bunny. He and Chloe are now fully bonded, and give me lots of joy!
I am hooked on bunnies for life now, and volunteer at a rabbit and guinea pig rescue (I have 2 pigs as well). Thanks for reading!
