Be careful of the bedding you're using forLucy. If pine shavings, probably no problem. Cedarshavings, on the other hand, had been identified by some researchers asthe culprit in some rabbit respiratory problems and skin conditionsthat canprove fatal. It seems that rabbit urine andthe oils in cedar combine chemically to produce toxic fumes and/orsubstances.

Producers of cedar shavings claim there is no such danger at all, but,I, myself, would rather err on the conservative side and not take achance with my rabbits' health if there is the slightest bit of anunresolved question about the product.

As the aphorism goes, "Ounce of prevention worth a pound ofcure!" Don't mean to be a busy body and "tell you what todo," but thought I'd inform you just in case you were not aware of thepotential dangers involved.

Lucy is a sweetie pie!
