Heterochromia

I had a batch of Lionlops that are now 2 months old. One has heterochromia. One eye is blue and one eye is brown. I was wanting to know if this is rare.

I think it would be considered somewhat rare. It's not a common thing, but does happen on occasion.

It's quite common, usually caused by the vienna (blue eyed white) gene.

More common than you think. We had one of the rarer ones--1/3rd blue 2/3rds brown with the left eye and 2/3rds blue and 1/3rd brown with the right eye. He was part Black Otter with some Vienna marking.

Ive seen rabbits with marbled eyes as they call it, haft brown and haft blue! Its very pretty, I know I'm not answering your question but I just wanted to say that lol
