Hello- I am a first time rabbit owner. I just got my bunny yesterday. She is an 8 week old gold English Spot doe and I named her Lacy. I can already tell that she is quite the lover!
I'm feeding her Oxbow Bunny Basics 15/23 and timothy hay. She's in a pen, not a cage or hutch, and I'm not sure how big it is. I'm also trying to litter train her (so far, not much luck) so any tips would be great!

Yeah, but her being a baby she needs alfalfa. So, regardless..you should really get her some alfalfa instead of hay. Its like feeding a new born baby skim cow milk or breast milk..it makes a difference.
Your bunny is cute.
As far as litter box training goes, put her food and "hay" (alfalfa) in the litter box and she will go in the litter box. They catch on fast that way :)

I do have her hay in the litter box and she goes in there to eat it but she still goes to the bathroom all over the pen. And I'll try to get some alfalfa asap!

the food AND hay need to stay in the litter box. also, when she pees or poops, get it up and put it in the litter box, she will get the hang of it, may take a few days but she'll get the hang of it.

Welcome your bun is cute.

Well firstly, it will take some patience. As stated earlier, just keep some hay in the box. If your rabbit decides to PEE, somewhere else, clean it... and move the box to that location instead.

For poops... even litter trained buns, dont poop 100% of the time, in the box ;p luckily for us there droppings are odorless (usually) and easy to sweep up.

litter training, isnt really "training" for a bun. Its more, tricking them to use the box, as most rabbits will pick a designated corner to pee in usually :)

good luck!

Well she's been peeing in both of the front corners. Also, I noticed today that her poops are a lot softer than they were yesterday. Some of them were stuck to the floor when I was sweeping them up.

Welcome to RO. Soft pellets are normal actually. As long as there not a lot of it that the hard, orderless pellets. If she's had a diet change recently then that would explain any excessive amounts of soft pellets as her system is adjusting to new food. Any other chase would be cause for concern.
