Hi I just found and signed up for rabbitsonline. This looks like a great website I am sure I will spend many happy hours reading and meeting all you wonderful rabbit moms and dads.
I live in ohio and currently have 2 Flemish Giant kits. According to the breeder they are 2 months old and they are oh so cute! My yellow boy is named Hossenfeffer (Hoss for short) and my female is named Elvira. Elvra is a shade of Black or dark blue.
I am looking to get into Rabbit agility and training. I know that the bigger rabbits should not do high jumps so I am in the process of designing and constructing a Flemish friendly agility course. I hope to be able to get a group together and have "meetings" with our bunnies once a month.
I also want to show rabbits and have discovered a Lop called a Velveteen Lop. Has anyone else heard of these and what are your thoughts on them. I would love showing them but know they are not an ARBA recognized breed, however there is a website that says these beautiful bunnies can be shown. Also if anyone has any show pointers, I would be very thankful.
Thanks so much!
