Good morning everyone! I'm happy to be here. I'm new to bunnies and am enjoying my venture so far. My Flemish doe, Hope, is due today (the nice looking bun bun in my avatar!) I'm so hoping she took, as those last 31 days seemed like FOREVER! She spent about an hour nest building an hour ago and now she's taking a much deserved break. Seems promising since she'd never done that before.

Igot her when she was 6 months old and she just turned 9 months old on the 3rd of this month. She will be shown in July and August, along w/ hopefully some of her junior kits. That's the plan anyway.

I'm hoping to add a Lionhead to my small "crew" of buns. The litter I hope to choose from were kindled a few days after Hope was bred, so they'll be ready to go in another month or so. I really want an opal, but not sure what colors she had. Lionheads are easier to handle compared to the Flemish. :)

Thanks, Nancy!! I'm going to be up all night patiently waiting to see if it's going to happen or not! :) At least w/ her I don't have to get dressed to walk outside like I do w/ my mares. :D

Thanks, Autumn!!

I will sure do that if she's indeed prego. She's mostly lounged all evening, but I've turned the lights out for her. I'm going to be very soon so everything will be off and "hope"fully she'll do what needs to be done. I'm REALLY "hoping" she's pregnant.
She just got up to do another thorough cleaning of her nether regions. She's done that quite a few times today.

Maybe she's just weird and doing this all to torture me. :)

Well, nothing happened, so I'm guessing she didn't get pregnant. :( CRAP!! I'll have to take her back to her BF and try again. W/ shows in July and August, I'd like her kits to be weaned by then in case someone wants to buy, and that they're old enough and heavy enough to be shown as juniors. Will have to call my breeder today and see what he thinks I should do.

Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad you’re here and I know you will enjoy it.

Ishow black flemish, they are just such a sweet, lovable breed.Sorry about her not being pregnant. I've had does who had false pregancy's, its definitely a bummer.

Many bunny's recommend their slaves to this site so we may learn of others methods to keeping our furry masters happy.

If you everhave a sick bunny, please post in The Infirmary and include your rabbit's age, breed and health history as well diet and output details leading up to the problem.

I have listed some links I thought you might find interesting:

*For reference the Library section

*To brag or tell everyone about the antics of your bunny or just to talk about your day here is where to start a Bunny Blog, you can also look back at it later and remember when you had a life before your bunny.

*Now all the bunny’s like talk to each other when we mere slaves aren’t around in the Bunny Chat is the spot to be.

*Rabbits Online also has regional forums , this a good way to find a vet in your area that has experience with rabbits and to find out from other nearby of good sources of rabbit supplies.

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.

I am glad you have joined rabbits online and I look forward to seeing you around.

Hi Dave and thanks for the welcome and tips!!

You didn't read my last post, did ya??? My bun had her kits the following evening, so day 32. I posted about it in the Rabbitry w/ pics of my new tiny bundles of joy. :)

That's cool you like and show the Flemish also. I just love them, but don't have enough room for more yet. I hope to add blue to my Flemish "herd". :)
