I just bought my cute little bunny this past Friday. Her name is Marshmellow (purposely spelled with "mellow" instead of "mallow" because she is super chill). The pet store had her listed as a Lionhead Dwarf, but her hair is nothing like a Lionhead... It resembles more of a Netherland Dwarf, so that's what I have concluded she is. Not sure how old she is, but she seems pretty young. Very excited about the addition to the family though! :)

Congratulations. Pet stores are most often a less than reliable source of info, especially with bunnies. Most of the shelters aren't much better. Very cute bunny--enjoy.

Yes, I learned that this week. Our little girl just passed last night because the store told us she had wet tail, which I found out is only diagnosed in hamsters... We are looking to get another though.

There are TONS more options in Ohio then a petstore. Please consider that. If they tell you its already sick, do NOT buy it.

and welcome to the site!

We got our new bunny this morning. His name is Rue. Its another dwarf rabbit, not sure what type though. He is already acting 10x better than our first. He is eating and drinking tons and its been an hour! :) Thanks for the welcome Nancy and Gorby!

oh I'm so sorry about Marshmellow... :(
but I'm glad you got Rue now. I hope you have lots of fun with him. Post some pics some time, you know if you want to keep a bunny diary, or a blog s we call it (hehe), you can create a blog for Rue here. It's pretty cool, there are lots of rabbit lovers who like to read stories about cute bunnies and see pics..
Welcome to RO!

We're so sorry to hear of Marshmellows passing. Things like this are why the first thing we do with a new rescue is go to the vet before they get put in with the "herd". Hello to Rue.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your bunny:( Congrats on the new addition too!! Im from Ohio too. About 50 min north of Cinci. :)
