Does heat affect the eating habits of your rabbits? One of my bucks is getting skinny. He weighted 12.8 lbs last show and got DQed. He won't eat hay or oats. He'll eat a little bit of sunflower seeds.

It usually affects my rabbits eating habits. They usually gobble up their pellets pretty quick, but on hot days they just take nibbles, same thing with their hay. I try to offer them cool veggies, or wet grass on hot days, not only to get them to eat, but to keep them hydrated.

They will usually eat their pellets and hay at night once it starts cooling off.

I agree that the heat can make them eat less. But I would be concerned with a weight loss. When you say he has gotten skinny, do you know how much weight he has lost?
