My General gets about a cup of greens a day..and eats them all right when I put the bowl in his cage. What a weirdo.

Should I divide up his greens for the day, maybe give him some when he's in his cage (while I'm at work) and then the rest when he's out for the day (when I'm home)?

My Kirby devours all his greens in one sitting if I have forgotten to give him a new pile of hay that day. he is picky, so he doesn't eat all his hay, just the pieces he "likes". Does your bun pick through his hay? When I give him a lot of hay to choose from, he eats more and is less hungry during salad feeding time.

Some people feed salad once a day and some feed twice a day. I think it's more a preference thing.

Nope, he'll just sit there and munch his hay the same as he does the veggies. Right now he's on one kind, but when I've got a little more cash flow, he'll get a more varied bunch of hay, just like with his veggies.

I might start giving the veggies in bits..because I like the idea of having "meals" like that throughout the day. Right now, he's still on unlimited pellets, but that'll work out well once I cut him back to about 1/4 cup a day.

Oh, he's young? I thought he was an adult rabbit. He might just love his veggies then :) my 6 month old bun eats about 1/4 cup of pellets a day even though he's allowed unlimited, and he will literally drop the hay in his mouth to come eat his 1/2 cup of lettuce. I give him that much twice a day and he still eats it up right away. I think it's normal, it might just be enthusiasm to fresh food.... My bun is about 3 lbs in weight.

My guys eat all their veggies at once, and about half of the pellets at once. I feed veggies twice a day. They eat hay in between meals and all night. I think it's about enthusiasm too, since my guys aren't underweight at all!

Buns have no concept of delayed gratification. They seem to follow the "life's short - eat dessert first" philosophy.

Sometimes I feed Sox greens once a day, other times twice a day. If it's twice, I like to hide them amontsther toys inthe hutch just before I leave for work.

Sox gobbles down all her favourite greens at once, non stop like a pig, and then leaves the non-favourites for later during the night when he gets bored. Mine is only a bunny as well. I will give her as much as she wants or what I can afford to give her. As long as she doesn't get diarrhoea I am not concerned.

Life can be boring I reckon for a rabbit and chewing all day seems to be their life in my opinion! :D
