Hey :)

One of my buns needs a penicillin injection once a day for 2 weeks. The vet taught me how to do it and the first two times went well.

I just tried to give the injection and it didn't go so well :(

My bun freaked out and I just couldn't get the needle in.

Does anyone here have experience with giving needles? How do you stop your bun from squirming?

If everything fails, I will go back to the vet, but I would like to know if there is anything I can do.

Thanks :)

Where are you giving the injection?
If it's in the back you can try to burrito wrap the bun and he it like a football with buns head facing back by your elbow

As I'm a visual learner I always look up videos on youtube to help me, you could search their for ideas. Rescues and rabbit savvy people often post their tips and tricks. :)

Awesome, Thankyou :)

We ended up heading to the vet to get today's injection done, it was just to stressful for me and bun.

It cost $10 for the vet to help us and I'm going to try again myself tomorrow because going to the vet each day for the rest of the treatment will add up!

Anyway, I'll do what you suggested and look up some videos.

Thanks :)
