So I'm FINALLY making this post after lurking around the website for a few weeks. I can't help it, I need to get in on the fun!
My flemish giant obsession started when I was younger and one of my horse trainers told me about her flemish giant and how it used a littler box and would free roam around the house. Once Imoved out I started seriously considering getting one. I researched rabbits and searched for a flemish giant for aboutseven months before I finally found an ad on craigslist.I got Gibby whenhe was 2 months old and he was sooo small back then compared to now! Here is a picture from the first day we got him.
He was only 4 pounds here.
He's my first and only bunny so I'm pretty over-protective of him. I remember the first night I got him I looked away for a few seconds and when I turned backhe had already bunny flopped. I had no idea what he was doing but I immediately freaked out andyelled for my boyfriend to touch him and make sure he was ok. (we laugh about it now, but Ireally was terrified he had just dropped dead!) He issuch a sweet boy and loves to lick and be petted. He crawls into my lap while I'm on the computer and licks my arm. He doesn't mind beingpicked up andloves to be snuggled. He's so laidback and pretty bomb-proof for a rabbit. He'll knock over a box or pull a stack of clothes on topof him and he doesn'teven blink. He is about 4 1/2 months now and his vet wants to wait until he is around 9 months before we neuter him to give him a chance to grow.He can be very mischeivious though and once I came home from work to find him head first in a pizza box. When I pulled him outI discovered he had nibbled the top layer of crust off the whole pizza to get all of the seasoning!
Here are his cute grandpa feet sticking out of his cat condo.
Giving kisses
Shh! Don't tell him the bed is too small for him! He thinks he's a small bunny.
