General Bismark, also refered to as "Bizbiz," is a fiesty chocolate Tan rabbit.

In days gone by he was a hot shot with the ladies. He was bred and is the father of an unknown number of fluffies in the world. He was also shown but did not take away as many placement as his breeder had liked.

One day it was PA's ARBA show and he was one of several tans for sale that day. My husband (boyfriend at the time) had known we'd get a rabbit sometimes soon, but we didn't anticipate it to be that day. We had been on the lookout for an English Lop, but also had our eyes on the fiery Thrianta's and majestic Tans.

Somehow, we found ourselves speaking with one of the breeders who had four tans for sale. All males, mostly black. There was one brown and one blue. We honestly asked whom she felt had a good temperament. Her reply, "They are all pretty strong willed, but this one is the calmest." I don't think calm means what she thought it meant because we were in for a tornado of rabbit personality.

If our rabbit was a fantasy character, he'd be a thief. No snack is safe with the General on duty. Leaving the house is also unacceptable as he will headbutt and chase your feet straight out the door. Don't we know our jobs are to stay home and give grapes and pets? He is also a little bit of a stud. Just to make sure people knows he's a desirable bachelor, he's sure to hump his favorite stuffed bunny for all to see and appreciate his prowess. He may not have his beans anymore, but gosh-darn it all he's going to make sure everyone knows he's still "got it."

He's a lover and a fighter. Appropriate pets and bum scratches are only allowed to those worthy of his furriness. If he doesn't like you or what you are doing be sure that he will grunt, grumble and chase you right out the door (he's chased a squirrel that broke in right out of our home). If any rabbit wears his feeling on his face/ears/tail it's General Bismark.

Every day and with every guest we have he is breaking the mold of what most people think about rabbits. He's not a little loaf ball (all the time) of calm and quiet submission. He's inquisitive, engaging and terribly pretentious.

Like all proper rabbits of spoilt disposition...he's terribly full of himself. He's knows he's king and will make sure you don't forget it.

Also: taking applications for a bond-mate. Likes the ladies with ample dewlap and toosh, but willing to share treats to fatten the skinny ladies up. Must not be more beautiful than self. Also, grapes off limits.
