I know apple tree branches are safe.

What others are safe?

I have a pear tree that's going to need major pruning, and I'm trying to confirm that it would be safe to let my buns gnaw on the harvest.

I also have a cherry tree, but I think I've found that the resins in the wood are not good for them.

:anyone:

I can't seem to find the reference, but I read somewhere that apple branches are the only ones that you don't need to allow to dry out for a month or so before you give them to the bunny. Apple twigs are safe from the start.

Pear twigs are OK, once dried. Several of the rabbit supply companies sell them in bundles.

Scone loves apple twigs (we have several apple trees in the front yard), but he turns up his nose at pear.
