Hi!

I'm new here on this forum, and I thought I should start a blog :D

My two bunnies is called Snurre and Bewsk. They are both girls.
I'm trying to bond my two rabbits and I started yesterday!

The bonding went totally wrong, the rabbits attacked eachother and ripped off fur from eachother.

Snurre is a lot stronger than Bewsk, so Bewsk lost most fur.

Today we had bondingsession nr. 2.
In the bathtub!

I don't know if they were agressive or afraid, but they fought and argued a littlebit to start with. Then they just sat next to eachother and "sniffed". I think they were scared.

Hi!
Today I let the rabbits meet eachother for the third time.
Oh, they fought!
Immediately after they noticed eachother, they started fighting.

Is there no hope for my little angry bunnies?
=)

I didn't manage to take any pics, but I don't think you'll want to see the fight either :p

Hi!

:) I'm taking a break from the bonding, and starting all over again next week.
The reason is that I'm going for a vacation on saturday, and I won't be home until tuesday/wednesday.

Maybe my rabbits will give eachother a second chance.

Right now they are sitting in their cages and grooming themselves.
They are so adorable (when they are not toghether!).

Have a nice day :)

Very cute rabbits. Have they been spayed? That will surely help in the bonding process. Maybe you should try to switch their cages, many people do that when they are bonding their rabbits.

Good Luck.

Susan:)

Thanks, Susan! :)

Both of them have been spayed :) 4.5 weeks ago.
Switching cages..hmm.. Maybe that wasn't such a bad idea :)

But will they become "filthy" and will they stop using their litterboxes then?

I thought maybe they'll become confused or something? =)

It really helps when they are side by side each other when they can sniff each other. I had a hard time at first too... and mine are both lionheads as well. Mine bonded because they were scared of the new territory that they were in and began to cuddle. They are doing great now.

Good luck and I'm sure it will eventually work out.

Your Bunnies are super adorable. :)

Welcome as well to the Forum.

Thank you! :)

I just love Lionhead rabbits, they're so cute and cuddly! :D

I really hope my rabbits will become friends.
I even built them a new cage to live in during the nighttime!

:)

Your girls are just precious..

It's time for bonding again!

But not today. Maybe tomorrow.
I've been on a little vacation, and came home yesterday.
It was hay all over the place, the rabbits had too much food and the litter from the cat toilet was all over the living room.

Someone took care of my animals (my little sister), but she didn't do as I told her.

The rabbits have also been fighting through their cages.
Someone put the cages too close to eachother.

But it's very good to see my little bunnies again!
They are so adorable! :)

They are both so adorable! I hope the bonding goes good. It can take a lot of patience and time.

Thanks Amy!

I let them meet eachother again today.

They didn't fight at all! I was surprised. They just ignored eachother and laid next to eachother.

I had gloves and a bottle of water, but I didn't have to use the gloves or the water, because my rabbits did so good.

It was a great date!

First i took them for a walk in their own traveling cages.
Then I let them out in a neutral room.
They ignored eachother most of the time, and didn't behave agressive towards eachother.
Then I took them for a walk in a big traveling cage. They sat next to eachother.
Then I let them out in the room again.

Here's some pictures:

Are you by any chance the same person that posts about bunny bonding on Paw Talk? If so...hi! Haha I'm Dragonrain from there.

Thanks!

Haha, yeah, that is me on paw talk, I guess!

Hi!

I have to say that I split them up last night because of a big fight.
