Now, my rabbit does not have fleas, but if I took her outside to play would she get fleas? Do rabbits get fleas?

they can, yes. but i would not worry about it. i take my rabbits out to play in the grass everyday and have never had problems with fleas.

Rabbits can get fleas and will get the same type of flea that cats and dogs get. As far as whether or not your rabbit will get them, that depends on your environment. If you have a lot of domestic or wild mammals that are in the same area, it's more likely.

Rabbits can be treated with some of the same flea preventatives we use for other species. Although none are labeled for rabbits in the US, both Revolution (selamectin) and Advantage (imidacloprid) are considered safe. Never use Frontline or any other product containing fipronil on a rabbit.
