My rabbits have fleas, what do you suggest I put on them. Kitten flea powder?

Cat flea powder works for either mites or fleas.

I think "kitten" is preferred, rather than cat. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Sevin garden dust (Carbaryl) is also commonly used.

Any pet store, garden center, Walmart, hardwardstore or even pharmacy that carries pet products will have the kittenflea powder.

:shock:The Walmart here doesn't! And I looked on the Petsmartwebsite, they only carry flea powder intended for kittens and puppiesover 12 weeks. Is that still ok?

I was debating on adding it to my first aid kit for them since they areoutside and my sister's dog plays with them freqently. If it's notsafe, I'll keep searching.

That would be fine. The carbaryl products are considered safe for use on rabbits.

Disclaimer : Do keep in mind that any product maycause a reaction in certain animals. I have used carbaryl foryears on rabbits and never had a problem, however, I have seen it causeseizures in cats.

Thanks pamnock! It's the only flea powder I canfind so it will have to do. I'm just planning on keeping it in case Ineed it, hopefully I wont.
