I want to start taking Sherman outside for briefperiods of time so that he can get a little fresh air and experiencethe great outdoors, but I'm deathly afraid that he'll get fleas!

I saw the article on Rabbits.com that mentioned Parastem.Have any of you had good success in using this? Any otherflea prevention techniques that you might recommend?

Thanks in advance!

There are several recommendations, often centeringaround kitten flea powders and the like. I prefer ivermectinhorse worming paste because it deals with fleas, mites, both fur andear, and worms in one fell swoop, so to speak.

One pea-sized dollop, force-fed , or placed on fore paw to be ingestedby the bun, twice, or thrice, at 10 day intervals, should clear up anyof the above problem critters. In xpensive, quick and easy.

Hi Bunnymommy,

Some people use the Ivermectin once a month as a preventative measure.

Be careful not to overuse or it can lose it's effectiveness.

Personally, I don't like to treat Tucker for anything unless he's got symptoms.
