Ok, so I have 2 goldfish and the red one is constantly chasing the golden one. Are they going to breed and have baby fish? Also, the red one went under the golden one's tail and poked under there for a while. Are they just playing tag or trying to mate?:?I really don't know! Should I seperate them and put them in different tanks? Or should I leave them there? Is anyone a bun and fish expert? If so, help me! :anyone:

Red and gold? Do you know the breeds?
Are you talking about a Rosie Red goldfish then a "normal" goldfish?

I don't know about the breeds, and I'm talking about a reddish-orange colored goldfish and a golden colored goldfish.

2 Goldfish in a tank that size is ok. As long as they aren't doing any damage to each other(ripped fins, wounds) or becoming too stressed from the chasing, they should be fine.

You can try breaking up the line of sight in the tank by using fake plants, rocks or decorations. That way the fish can hide and won't always be visible to the fish doing the chasing.
