My bunny Pim is at the vets right now. He was there a couple of days ago because he hasn't been eating normally and Monday night started to act really lethargic and the corner of his eye was red. On Tuesday the vet said he had a fever. They brought his temperature down and he took critical care from them and started acting better. I brought him home that night and he pretty much just laid around, didn't want to eat or drink. Yesterday, he was also uninterested in eating or drinking. I managed to force feed him a little bit yesterday and a bit more this morning before I dropped him back off at the vets.
The vet said he was running a fever again.
I'm wondering if anybody knows if dental problems could be causing the fever? Pim was born with malocclusion and had his incisors removed 3 years ago. (He's 4 now) He's had a couple of molar spurs since then that the vet has filed down. She took an xray on Tuesday and thought it looked like one of him molars might have a crack in it. But other than that his teeth looked fine.
I'm just trying to figure out what is causing his fever.

My vet called to give me an update. She said she's never seen a rabbit develop a fever from dental issues unless there were an abscess. She thinks his fever must be due to something else. She said she is going to draw blood to try to figure out what it is, but for now she's just letting him relax with some cooling pads.
Has anybody dealt with fevers before?

Bloodwork can be a great way to find out if there is some sort of infection so that's a great next step.
