I just saw where a friend's messenger said, "I need a hero...I'm holding out for the morning light.." and it reminded me of the song from the show "Cover Up" from 1984 about undercover agents who worked as a photographer and model and did photo shoots. Some may remember the show because one of the main stars, Jon-Erik Hexum accidentally shot himself in the head while playing a prank on the set...and died.

Anyway - that made me think of other old shows I used to watch and love...(I'll name them later).

So I thought I'd ask....what shows did you used to watch 10+ years ago that aren't on anymore or they're only on in reruns, etc.

For those of you who are younger...if you watch older shows that were made 10+ years ago...that counts too - even if you didn't watch them when they first came out.

I'm going to start making a list of the shows I'd like to watch....and share it later...

Ok...I'll share some of it now...I used to watch (and still enjoy a lot of)

I believe I must be the only person on earth that has little to no interest in TV. :privateeyes

We HAD a TV when I was growing up but my brother always got grounded from it and our parents put a LOCK BOX on the back of it. Without the key (which Jason easily swiped off of Moms keyring while she was in the shower getting ready for work) the TV wouldn't function.

Every time he got caught stealing the key there was :devilto pay, but Mom never remembered to check her keyring before she left the house and he was a master of returning it once she returned home from work.

Uh... so:

Highway to Heaven

Well, that about sums it up. I know we watched 21 Jump Street as well but other than those two I'm drawing a blank.

I don't watch much tv now because I don't have time, but when I can watch, I do like some shows and miss a few of the old ones.

What a fun thread! I'm going to repeat a couple, but that's okay because they deserve a second...or third...or fourth laugh! And for some of these, please remember I'm only 25, he he! They'll likely date me back into my 30's, 40's, or more! God bless Nick@Nite!

  • Alf (I used to love that show when I was little!)
  • Mr. ED
  • Punky Brewster
  • Welcome Back, Kotter
