Naughty Felipe is up to trouble again...He has been on a serious paper tear, eating what seems to me to be good amount. He also chewed a hole (maybe 2" around) in one of my reusable bags. I'm worried about a bowel obstruction. How worried should I be? What are signs of this? What can I do to discourage this behavior?

If he eats just a little it's harmless and it will pass through him. If he is eating an enormous amount, it is best to minimize the chewing. The reusable bag may have indigestible fibers. But if he just eat a small hole it might not be a big issue.

You should watch him carefully over the next 24-48 hours. Make sure that he passes poops and is eating. If he stops pooping or stops eating, then you should be worried about GI stasis.
