I usually throw a rolled up ball of newspaper in my buns cage to entertain him.

Lately i have noticed he swallows a few pieces on purpose..i have since removed the newspaper..Im curious if i should let him have it?:panic:

As long as it's just plain newspaper (not coated stock advertising supplements), go right ahead and let him have it. Paper's just pulped wood, which is basically roughage like a wood chew toy would be, and the ink's all soy-based these days so the little he'll ingest won't be at all harmful.

It's not nutritious, obviously, but nothing to worry about.

Mike beat me to it--we have litter pans full of shredded paper and our guys and gals love it. Just stay away from the glossy ads. Ours are all printed with soy ink, so that's not a problem. Coal made it almost to 14 and Molly just turned 14 and have had several get past the 12 year mark and they all have had newspaper from day one.
