Ear infection

My 8 month old English lop buck, started shaking his ears about 5 days ago but nothing too bad. I noticed yesterday he had blood in his ears from itching. He is going the the vet Thursday. What do you all think? I dont think its ear mites, at least i hope not since he is in the rabbitry with all the other rabbits. I have only had him about 7 weeks.

It could be an infection or mites--both can be very itchy. Sometimes they can have mites without showing a lot of external signs--the mites can be really deep in the ear canal or not have caused a lot of skin to flake off yet. I would wait and see what the vet can see with the otoscope.
